Sue Burbach, 90, of Chapin passed away on October 25, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Bush River Memorial Gardens.
Born in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 24, 1935, Sue was the daughter of Clyde and Eleanor Cassell Wrenn. She was a member of Irmo Church of God and Gateway Baptist Church, where she served as a greeter, bulletin team and mission opportunities, including a memorable trip to Jerusalem. She also attended Chapin United Methodist Church.
Sue held a true zest for life and was a member of the Dutch Fork Ramblers Club, Susanna Wesley Circle, Prairie Club, Chirpers at Lowman Home, Greater Columbia Quilters, American Quilters Society, South Carolina Quilters Society, Good News Club, and the Tea Party. She was also a talented Master Gardener.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 32 years, George Burbach; three sisters, Jo ann Wrenn, Joyce Owens, and Judith Fair.
Sue is survived by her five children, Gary Stephens (Lori), Glenn Stephens, Marjorie Stephens, Paula Jeffcoat (Jeff), Philip Stephens (Dawn); her sister, Miriam Thomas (Michael); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory. Sue is also survived by her late husband, George Burbach's children; Joanne (Ron) Piper, Van (Lisa) Burbach, Laura (Chris) Pudney and Randy Burbach
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alpha Ministry at Chapin Christian Community Church, formerly known as Chapin United Methodist Church.
