Charles Spencer Miller

May 6, 1957 — October 19, 2022

Charles “Bubba” Spencer Miller, 65, of Chapin, passed away on October 19, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 6, 1957, in Winnsboro, SC, and graduated from Irmo High School. He spent most of his career as a District Manager for Food Lion for 30 years and later worked as the General Manager of Quality Beverages for 7 years. He never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on all who met him. Bubba was a devoted family man and enjoyed his Gamecock football, playing and watching golf, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and taking a golf cart ride with his beloved puppy “Stella." He is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Shannon Hatchell Miller; his mother, Donna Gilbert (Dave); his children, Kevin Miller (Melanie), Todd Miller, Blake Wall (Carly), and Brianna Anderson (Dylan); siblings; Jennifer LeGrand and Irene Embrick (Harold); 7 grandchildren, Dawson Daniels, Jamilyn Miller, Cameryn Miller, Brody Miller, Aubrey Miller, Addi Anderson, Bailey Wall, and #8 on the way. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys LeGrand Harris, guardian, Grady LeGrand; sister, Terry Baxley; brother, Tommy Miller, and numerous other family members. Celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home located at 5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia SC, 29212. Officiants will be Pastor Bo Myers, Reverend Wayne Briggs, and Mr. James Dahl. The family will greet friends from 3:00 -4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In true Bubba fashion, the family wants this celebration of his life to be casual, light, and fun as if hanging out in his ‘man cave’/garage. Please feel free to wear casual clothes or represent your favorite sports team.
