Christopher Lee Shirk

Chris Shirk, 45, of Apollo Beach, Florida, passed away Wednesday, May 10th, while wrestling an alligator. The alligator got the upper hand when Chris paused to push a small puppy out of the way of the onslaught. He is survived by his son, Leny; his estranged wife, La Shonda; his brothers, Roy and Lynn; his sisters, Donna and Norma; and his mother, Kathryn. Not one to sit around, Chris took life by the horns, sometimes literally, and had frequently been banned from farmyards for fist fights. Chris also engaged in urban warfare with the local squirrel population, who he insisted were planning a coup. His memorial will be held at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home on Thursday, May 18th, from 3:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
