Donald Houston Davis

The graveside service for Donald Houston Davis, 81, of Columbia will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.The Reverend Jason Antley will officiate. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Donald was born on August 17, 1934 in Newport, Arkansas and died on Friday, June 10, 2016.He was the son of the late Dallas Houston Davis and Zela McClain Davis.He proudly served his country in the US Army, and was retired from 31 years of service with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. Mr. Davis was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church and had 35 years of dedicated service with the Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company that later became known as Reynolds American. Survivors include; his loving wife of 51 years, Marilyn L. Davis of the home, daughter, Teresa D. Spires and husband Gregory, of Gaston, son, Thomas E. Davis and wife Candy of Columbia, grandchildren, Koty Davis, Daniel Spires and Kaitlyn Spires. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to:St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 119 N.
