Georgia Dieter Muller, 100, passed away November 14, 2025. She joins her late husband of 65 years, Ed, to dance once again. Georgia was born on January 30, 1925, in Savannah, GA. When she was a teenager, her family moved to New Jersey, where she lived until moving to Columbia in 1981. Georgia is survived by her daughter, Madeline (Jean) Van Hertbruggen, and son, Edward (Tina) Muller; 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In earlier years, Georgia and Ed were members of a local seniors bowling league where they made some lifelong friends. They went on a lot of cruises with the group where she tried in vain to keep Ed out of mischief. Later in life, Georgia became an avid reader of mysteries; but her greatest joy was working in her garden. Even in her 90s, she would take her walker and work in the yard. Surely, her job in heaven will be to tend the gardens. We feel fortunate that there was a wonderful celebration of her 100th birthday with friends and family in January.
The family will honor her life at a private memorial service held at a later date.
