Glenda Marbert Clements

Funeral Services for Glenda M. Clements, 85, will be held Tuesday, December 16th at 1:00 p.m. at Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow the service.

Born in Edgefield, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Marbert and Myrtle Timmerman Marbert. Ms. Glenda was a loving lady. Her generosity, kindness and pure wit were always appreciated and adored. She would use her charming humor to keep the conversation light and cheerful. She loved her family and friends, spending as much time as possible with them. Ms. Glenda was an avid reader and a member of State Street Baptist Church in Cayce. She was a revered laboratory histologist for over 45 years and retired from the VA Hospital.

She is survived by her loving companion of many years, Ron Akre; son, Kyle Clements (Theresa); granddaughter, Riley Clements; nephews, Marcus Marbert, Michael Marbert, and Stephen Marbert; niece, Lisa Jeffcoat, brother-in-law, Paul Oken; and her precious cats whom she loved dearly, Freddy, Skippy and Bubba.

She was predeceased by her brother, William "Billy" Marbert; and sister, Judy Marbert Oken.
