Jabe Sanders Mars, III, 59, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Born February 23, 1966, he was the son of the late Jabe Sanders "Sandy" Mars, Jr. and Mary Ann Duke Mars. He was an immense Godzilla fanatic. From collectables, movies (nothing compared to the original films according to him), to even the word Godzilla being tattooed on his arm showed his dedication to his fandom. Jabe really enjoyed Marvel movies and shows as well as his wrestling programs. But his heart was not just into movies and tv shows, it was dedicated to helping others as well. His gift to others was giving his heart and soul to those that needed guidance. Jabe worked and helped with homeless ministries in Clarksville, TN as well as helping children and young adults in a rehab facility known as Mission Teens. He was often involved in his church at Cornerstone Presbyterian with the SOAR program. You would see him sometimes in the concession stands helping where he could. He made it his ministry to help others from all walks of life. His heart was greater than his health, but that never stopped his unwavering love for others.
Jabe met his wife, Susan at Riverbanks Zoo, which was one of many places that he enjoyed. His main place of enjoyment and peace were the mountains. He spent as much time as he could visiting the mountains in Gatlinburg, TN and the Highlands in North Carolina just to take in God's creations. He also spent some time in the Bahamas with his wife. Although not the mountains, the beach was always a good substitute.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Mars; children, Victoria "Tori" Mars, Morgan "Kayla" Mars, and Jabe Sanders Mars, IV; step-children, Ryan Huff, Jacob (Dominique) Huff, Carey Huff; his granddaughter, Camilla Wilner-Huff; and his fur babies, Cosmo and Little Bitty.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his sister, Melissa Mars.
There will be a celebration of life service held at a later date at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church.
