Jack Henry Thomas

Chapin- Jack Henry Thomas, age 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Temples-Halloran Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bush River Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at Jack’s residence.

Born on August 1, 1938, the son of the late Tyson and Janie Page Thomas. Jack was a proud graduate of Newberry College, he built a successful career in chemical sales—making a living, as he often joked, “by talking.” He owned and operated his own chemical sales company for many years.
Jack was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing, boating, and spending time on the waters of Lake Murray, where he loved to live. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making friends wherever he went. A passionate NASCAR fan, he enjoyed fast cars, good stories, and cheering on his beloved USC Gamecocks.

He is predeceased a sister, Judy Kaye Thomas, two brothers, Eugene "Gene" (Judy) Thomas, Samuel Derick Thomas(Sandra). Survivors include his daughter, Jackie Carroll (William), two sons; Samuel Gregory Mickelsen (Jackie), Jonathan McSwain (Jenn); six grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Frankie T. Bone; and three brothers; John Thomas (Linda), Nelson Thomas and William Thomas (Peaches).
