Jacquelyn "Jill" Poole Carullo

Mrs. Jill P. Carullo, 78, of Columbia, died on Friday, June 3, 2016, after a sudden illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church.Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by visitation in the Narthex of the church.Final Commendation and Farewell Prayers in St. Peter’s Cemetery, 500 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29201 following the Mass. Afterwards, a luncheon in her honor will be held at Our Lady of the Hills Family Life Center. Born on May 22, 1938 to the late Jack and Jacquelyn Poole, she grew up in Macon, Georgia, where she met and married the love of her life, the late John Carullo, Sr. An active and founding member of her home church, she will be remembered most as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.She will be greatly missed. Mrs. Carullo is survived by her five children, John Carullo, Jr. and his wife, Susan, Julie Carullo, Jodie Molamphy and her husband, Pat, Jennifer Carullo and Jared Carullo and his wife, Dana; six grandchildren, Julia, Luke, John, Maria, Tyler and Hailey; siblings, Jack Poole and his wife, Susan and Vivian Whelan and her husband, Jim all of Macon, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Temples Halloran Funeral Home is assisting the family.
