With the saddest of hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Vaughan Nichol of Chapin, South Carolina, on Monday, September 29, 2025.
Joe, known to many as “Nick”, was born in Washington, DC., October 2, 1947, and lived in Pennsylvania before meeting his wife of 54 years, Diane, who proceeded him in death.
Joesph was born to the late Josephine Nichol. An Army veteran, Joe worked as a mail handler, retiring from the United State Postal Service. A lover of the Pittsburg Steelers, Joe is survived by his two daughters: Hollie Strange (Chevis) and Brittney Gallman (Lee); his grandchildren, Haylee and Payton Imbaratto, Kaden (Emily Stone), Rhett, and Elliot Gallman and Tripp Strange.
Joe will truly be missed by his family and friends but find comfort knowing he is with his beloved wife and the Lord.
A graveside Service of Remembrance will be held at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC, 29212, Monday, October 6th, at 11:00am, with Pastor Terry Amick officiating.
