Mrs. Joyce M. Rogers, 88, passed away on October 25, 2025.
Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in the chapel of Temples-Halloran Funeral Home with inurnment to follow at Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Joyce was born June 15, 1937, in Columbia to Charles Robert and Addie Ford McCaw.
She was happiest with her morning coffee and husband, Archer sitting on their back porch reminiscing about their wonderful years and adventures together. Joyce was an avid reader and plant lover. She loved to cut grass, tend to her plants and especially bush hog on the tractor.
Joyce was a remarkable woman and a real go-getter. She held various positions with different companies including the secretary to the construction crew who created the first GE Plant in Irmo. She was instrumental in the team that developed the first technical college, Midlands Technical College, in the state of South Carolina in which all other technical colleges' libraries. She also was an executive administrator for a Real Estate developer in Highlands, NC.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband Archer S. Rogers of Prosperity, her daughter Dawn Eng (Derek) of Gatlinburg, TN, Archer's children, Sandy Rogers (Louise) of Mount Pleasant, Angela Patrick (Thomas) of Walterboro, grandson, Marshall Eng (Hannah) of Gatlinburg, TN, great grandson, Aiden Janow (Chloe) of Dayton, TN, and her beloved brother Kenneth McCaw (Sandra) of Columbia.
