Marion Ronald Sanders

COLUMBIA—Marion R. Sanders, 75, of Columbia, passed way on September 11, 2017 at Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, SC. Ron was born November 21, 1941, in Columbia, SC, to the late James Arthur and Marion Grace Sanders.He graduated from Dreher High School in 1959 and received his MBA from the University of South Carolina.He was Vice President of Operations at the R. L. Bryan Company until his retirement.He served as a volunteer for the SC Constabulary of the City of Cayce, SC. He is survived by his wife Tina Sanders of Columbia, SC; son, Ron Sanders (Candace) of Chapin, SC; daughter, Tricia Heen (Andy) of Lexington, SC; step-daughter, Maria Scotece Tarafa (Fernando) of Virginia and Dianna Scotece Allaway (Keith) of New Jersey; brother, Dick Sanders (Annette) of Columbia, SC; sister, Debbie Corley of Columbia, SC; 6 grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held for Ron at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 15, 2017 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212 with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Harvest Hope Food Bank, 2220 Shop Road, Columbia, SC 29201.
