Norman Arthur Oelhafen, 91, passed away on November 9, 2025.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Lexington Presbyterian Church,    246 Barr Road, Lexington, SC 29072. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., at the church.

Norman Arthur Oelhafen was born in Menominee, Michigan, on August 4, 1934. Norman served with the 48th Fighter/Bomber Wing in Chaumont, France as a Reporter/Information Specialist during the Korean War.

In 1960, he earned his BS degree in Advertising from the University of Minnesota. His career led to a privilege of living in France, The Hague, Netherlands, and many USA locations.

Norman married the love of his life, Phyllis Baumann, 64 years ago. Their love, devotion, dedication to family, and fellowship under God’s grace and guidance, allowed two best friends to experience a blessed life! Their faith in Jesus Christ provided the strength to endure many trials of life with unshakeable faith.

Norman was active in church where he served as an elder at Hope Presbyterian Church and St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. He taught adult Bible studies, and after the move to Lexington, enjoyed the Romans Ministry at Lexington Presbyterian Church. Norman enjoyed fellowship with his neighborhood men’s Bible study.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Hokanson, and his father, Norman Maxwell Oelhafen. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Oelhafen; son, Mark and his wife, Gigi Oelhafen; daughter, Kristin and her husband, James Driggers; five grandchildren: Austin Oelhafen, Rachel Knight, Ryan Oelhafen, Reid Driggers, Aaron Oelhafen, and their spouses. Norman was also blessed with eleven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Norman Arthur Olehafen's name, to The Roman's Ministry of Lexington Presbyterian Church located at 246 Barr Road in Lexington, SC 29072, or Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
