Osger DeLeon Jordan Jr., affectionately known as “O.D.,” peacefully entered eternal rest on June 3, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born on November 15, 1943, in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late Osger DeLeon Jordan Sr. and the late Cleveland Plant.
Private Family services will be held at Bush River Memorial Gardens.
O.D. was a faithful member of Denny Terrace Baptist Church, where he served as a former deacon. He had a deep passion for carpentry and loved building and fixing things throughout his life. He was a proud lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge.
Although he faced health challenges throughout his life, O.D. was known for his unwavering positive attitude and strong faith. He worked as a maintenance technician at the University of South Carolina and retired after 20 plus years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gloria Moody Jordan; his daughter Angela Jordan Critzman (Michael); and three grandsons: Jordan M. Critzman (Susan), Joshua T. Critzman, and Jacob D. Critzman. He is also remembered with love by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Peggy Jordan Pitts and Carolyn Jordan Thomas.
O.D.’s legacy is one of strength, faith, service, and kindness. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
