Peggy L. Causey Allen of Blythewood, SC, peacefully entered her eternal home on July 15, 2025.
Born in Hadley, Kentucky, to Erastus Morehead Causey and Ida Mae Gill Causey Graham, Peggy spent her early years in Bowling Green and Louisville, Kentucky.
She and her late husband, Andrew Cole Allen, raised their two daughters, Becky Allen Ansley (the late Mickey Ansley) and the late Lucretia Allen Eisenreich (David H. Eisenreich), in St. Louis, MO, before relocating to South Carolina in 1977. Together, they traveled extensively across America, cherishing their love for camping and the great outdoors.
A devoted church member, Peggy was actively involved in her community. She enjoyed singing in the choir, hosting gatherings, and preparing meals for those in need. At Trinity United Methodist Church, she participated in the Oasis Choir, Ladies Bible Study, Sunday School, and the Get Fit program. Most recently, she found joy and fellowship in the Women's Bible Study at Blythewood Presbyterian Church.
Peggy was deeply devoted to her family, often standing by her husband’s side on various projects, including building and renovating their homes. She maintained a vegetable garden and took pride in cooking for her family, as well as sewing performance gowns and clothing for her daughters throughout the years.
Known for her bright smile and caring nature, Peggy was always willing to lend a hand to friends and family. She will be lovingly remembered for her dimpled smile and zest for life.
Surviving are her daughter, Becky Ansley; grandchildren, Michelle Eisenreich (Shauna), Drew Eisenreich (Joseph), Melissa Reynolds (Justin), Laura Erskine (John), Sarah Ansley (Brandon Wilks), Rachel Ansley-Nunez (Josh), and Brian Ansley; her great-grandchildren, Cooper and Harper Hamlin, Miryam and Colette Eisenreich, Kaley Mae and Rivers Erskine, and James Ansley; as well as her loving nieces, nephews, and their children. The family would also like to acknowledge the loving care given by Carol Roberts over the past few months.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Blythewood Presbyterian Church, 441 Rimer Pond Rd, Blythewood, SC 29016, on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Temples-Halloran Funeral Home is assisting the family with interment at Bush River Memorial Gardens.
