Roberta Tatum Cooper, 95, of Chapin, South Carolina, passed away on December 20, 2025, at Carroll Campbell Place.
Born on April 15, 1930, in Smackover, Arkansas, Roberta was the daughter of the late Robert Tatum and Nannie Lou Green Tatum. Education was not only her profession but her calling. Roberta devoted her life to teaching, serving students across Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida during her career.
Roberta was a member of Chapin Christian Community Church where she loved attending and worshipping. She was proud of her closet which she kept full of unique clothing that was special to her. She also enjoyed keeping active while exercising three times a day, walking and running on the treadmill and her exercise bike.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph E. Cooper, her sister, Ruth Tatum, and brother, Bob Tatum.
She is survived by her daughter: Karen Cooper Deaton (Tommy), Mark Cooper (Debra), Dan Cooper; her sister, Helen Eves; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
