LEXINGTON—Funeral services were held for Dorothy L. Hensley, 84, of Lexington, at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2017 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The Reverend Steve Jones will officiated.Burial followed in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will greeted friends from 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Dorothy, beloved wife of Paul C. Hensley I, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017. Born in Marshall, NC, she was the daughter of the late, Amos Henderson and Virginia Gosnell Henderson.She was a member of Richland Spring Baptist Church since 1971 and a member of the Richland Springs Ruritan. She was a buyer for several department stores, Belk, Macy’s, and Swank. Surviving are her children, Ann Helms of Augusta, GA, Roger Dennis Hensley of Saluda,Sherree Barton (David) of Lexington, Paul C. Hensley II (Yong Cha) of Columbia, and Paula Mallory (Michael) of Columbia; sister, Creola Raleigh (James) of Mercersburg, PA; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Paul; sons, Ricky Dale and James Allen Hensley.
